What Is Online Video Estimating?
Online Video Estimating for painting is a convenient way for you to meet face to face with a residential painting estimator to discuss you next painting project using your smart phone or tablet.
Why Use Online Video Estimating?
If you have ever tried to coordinate scheduling for an in-home estimate with a residential painting company, you understand how difficult it can be to find a time that is available for your painting estimator and also convenient for you. Even when you do set a time a date and time, things come up: traffic is worse than usual, the estimator is running late or got tied up on another job, the kids are sick, or there's an unexpected emergency at your kids' school or at work. And sometimes, it happens, you or the estimator simply forget about and miss the appointment.

Online Video Estimating also allows our painting estimators to meet with you sooner than was ever possible with traditional in-person painting estimates. As long as our estimators don't have another painting estimate or meeting scheduled, they can meet with you whenever you would like them to. Often, estimates can be scheduled for the same day they are requested and sometimes in as little as an hour after the request is submitted.
A third benefit to Online Video Estimating for painting estimates is the ease of rescheduling. If, at the time your online video estimate is scheduled, you happen to be running late or still away from home, you can reschedule with your estimator for later that day or at the next time and date that is convenient and available for you. No need to worry about the painting estimator sitting and waiting for you at your home or finding another day when the estimator will be in your neighborhood with a free timeslot available. Move the estimate back an hour or two without the stress or guilt of inconvenience to you or your painting estimator.

How Does Scheduling the Online Video Estimate Work?
Scheduling and conducting your Online Video Estimate is easy. Visit the Schedule an Estimate Page and select Online Video Estimate. From there you will be directed to a calendar where you can choose the day and time for your estimate--there will be many times available to choose from, and you can expect the complete estimate to take approximately 45 minutes.
Once you have selected a day and time, you will be asked to provide some basic information about the nature of your painting project so that your estimator can be as prepared as possible with information that may be of interest and use to you during the estimate.
After the scheduling process is completed, you will receive an email with a link for your online video estimate. There is no software to download, or membership to join. And your information is never shared or sold to anyone. You can simply click the link to open the meeting on your phone or tablet. The meeting won't be available to you before or after your scheduled time, but you will receive a reminder by text or email prior to the start of your Online Video Estimate. Other than your name, email address and telephone number, there is no private information required to book the estimate. And again, this information is used only for the estimate scheduling and is never shared with anyone else.
What Happens During the Online Video Estimate?
Once you click the Zoom link to the Online Video Estimate from your phone or tablet, you will be joined in the video conference by your estimator. At that time, the estimator will introduce himself or herself, and discuss generally the work you need to have completed. Once that is established, you will be asked to walk the estimator through the spaces to be painted with your phone or tablet (sorry, unless your computer has an outward facing camera and is mobile, it won't work for Online Video Estimating).
As you walk through your space together, your painting estimator will ask questions about the surfaces to be painted (for example, ceilings, walls, trim, doors, closets, windows, etc.), color changes expected, areas of damage or in need of repair, stains, and any other information you would like to share about each specific space you wish to have painted.
What Happens After the Online Video Estimate?
After the Online Video Estimate is complete, you will receive a written, detailed estiamte fo rthe work you need to have done, at which time we hope you will choose us to do the work for you and coordinate a convenient start date.
